I'm new here

HEY THERE!….

Welcome to LWC (stands for Living Waters Church - I know, we try to sound cool by doing that and fail miserably, don't we?)

We are thrilled that you have visited our website. We are a small Christian church based in Gibraltar. Some people like to check us out online first and then may plan a visit in-person.

Here’s how you can connect with us:

Fill in a Contact Card if you are new here and we’ll be in touch. We won’t spam you (honest) but we may send you an occasional email or txt to keep in touch and see how you are doing.

You may want to connect with us on Social Media:

sunday service

sunday service

We have one service every Sunday at 11:30AM - and you are WELCOME

We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating and going to a church for the first time can be nerve-racking!

We want to help make your first experience at LWC a great one.

Our Sunday gathering is a big part of what we do at LWC.  We love getting together and spending time as a family as well as meeting new friends. Our service is bi-lingual (English/Spanish). We don't have a dress code. Most of us come dressed casually.

You're really welcome to visit us…..

Whether you are a church regular or have never been before;

Whether you can sing like Pavarotti or just growl quietly to yourself;

Whether you could use a prayer right now, had religion shoved down your throat as a kid or got lost on Line Wall Road and wound up here by mistake;

We extend a special welcome to those who are over 60 but not grown up yet, and to teenagers who are growing up too fast. We welcome keep-fit mums, football dads, starving artists, tree-huggers, latte-sippers, vegetarians, junk-food eaters. We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome you if you’re having problems, are down in the dumps or don’t like ‘organised religion.’ (We’re not that keen on it either!)

We welcome pilgrims, tourists, seekers, doubters… and you!

WE ARE VERY EASY TO FIND:

Unit 25 Wellington Front

What to expect

What to expect

In total, an LWC service is about 90 minutes in length. Services begin with the LWC band leading the church in music. Song lyrics are projected onto the screen so you can sign along and/or engage with worship, however you feel comfortable. If you are visiting, one thing that will immediately strike you is that ALL of our services are bi-lingual! This is normal for Gibraltar churches.

We sing a few English songs, and a few Spanish songs, and all of our talks have simultaneous translation English-to-Spanish.  Being a bi-lingual community, and having members from both sides of the frontier, we find that some of our congregation don’t speak any English, some don’t speak any Spanish, and some happily speak both!

You will also realise that we are a small, but boisterous bunch! Jesus has really changed our lives and we sing like we mean it :)

After the music portion of service is complete we usually take an offering, giving the congregation an opportunity to give financially to the work of the church - we also normally stress that if you are visiting please do not feel under any obligation to give, as you are our guest. After the offering a speaker will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus.

Another thing that will be evident is that we are a pretty relaxed bunch.  We keep things informal, so we don't have a dress code.  Most of us come dressed casually. These are some of the songs that we like to sing…….
